About the Founder

Shriram Owaliyekar, originally from Sawantwadi, 

began his journey in the hair and grooming industry in March 2006.

He started by learning and working in barbering in Usgao, where he spent ten years building a strong foundation through hands-on experience and continuous learning. This phase shaped his discipline, work ethic, and passion for the craft.

In April 2016, Shriram joined Neomi’s Salon Miramar Goa, where he worked until December 2018. During this period, he gained valuable experience in barbering, pedicures, and men’s grooming, further strengthening his professional skills.

While working at Neomi’s Salon Miramar Goa, Shriram took an important step toward advancing his career by enrolling at Bina Punjani Academy Panjim Goa, where he learned professional hair dressing. He balanced training in the first half of the day with salon work in the second half, allowing him to sharpen his technical knowledge and practical expertise simultaneously.

In January 2019, he joined Bina Punjani Hair Studio Panjim Goa as a Junior Stylist. After two years of dedicated work, he was given the opportunity to teach at Bina Punjani Academy Panjim Goa, the same institute where he had earlier learned professional hair dressing. Teaching not only strengthened his confidence but also helped him refine his skills, deepen his understanding, and grow as a professional.

Driven by a long-standing dream of creating his own space, Shriram resigned in March 2025 to begin a new chapter. In April 2025, he founded S.O. Hair Studio in Panjim , a salon built on sincerity, passion, and nearly two decades of dedication to the art of hair and grooming.

Today, S.O. Hair Studio reflects his journey, values, and commitment to delivering quality, comfort, and personalised experiences to every client.
